Penguins of the Palmer Archipelago

Project overview

Through this statistical study, we aim to explain penguin body mass in the Palmer Archipelago (Antarctica) using several quantitative variables. The objective is to identify which variables most influence body mass variability according to penguin sex and species.

Technologies used

Results

The study shows that flipper length is the most relevant indicator for explaining penguin body-mass variation. Sex does not significantly change the body-mass trend, although males are generally heavier than females.

Visuals

Below is a scatter plot showing the relationship between penguin body mass and flipper length.
